Lavazza: We've spent the last couple of years (yep - we've sure been working at it!) trying to perfect a reusable pod for Lavazza. In that time, we found that Lavazza machines seriously dislike reusable steel capsules - from machines breakages to poor extraction results, we've come to conclusion that this is not the best way forward, and don't recommend reusable steel pods for this machine.
From here, our product testing journey led us to our foil seals, which allow customers to reduce their waste by reusing their Vertuo bases (and of course composting their coffee, and recycling their foil lids). Whilst not perfect, we feel this solution is certainly a step forward, and a much more planet-friendly alternative to throwing all those disposable pods in the bin.
